Sage 50 Accounting Stopped Working or There was a Problem Activating…A problem has stopped the program from working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. Or you may see the message There was a problem activating Sage 50. You are seeing these messages because Pervasive is no longer providing keys to activate older versions of their product. This impacts Sage 50 US 2013 thru 2019. Customers are able to use the product so long as they do not update their hardware, their operating system, or add new installs. Sage 50 US 2019 and older are unsupported versions and Sage will not be releasing an update for these products. This is the notification you should have received from Sage as an in-product message in your Sage 50 program.Sage Notification to Customers:Due to a third-party database component that is no longer supported, you will be unable to reinstall or reactivate Sage 50 US versions 2013 through 2019. For example, should you upgrade hardware and then attempt to reinstall Sage 50 US versions 2013 through 2019, the reinstallation will be unsuccessful.
