What’s New in Sage 50 2023.0

This is an update on the upcoming release of Sage 50 2023.0 We will discuss Tax Forms as well as new release dates and the obsolesce of the 2022 program.

Sage has updated the timing for the new 2023.0 release date. Starting with version 2023.0, Sage has moved the major (.0) release from the summer to the fall to align with other product releases in the Sage organization. Sage will notify you when Sage 50 US 2023.0 is available.

Important reminder: Effective March 1, 2023, support will end for Sage 50—U.S. Edition 2022 to keep you in compliance with the latest technology and operating systems. So, be sure to upgrade to version 2023.0 in the fall! Visit FAQ – Sage 50 US Obsolescence for more information.

1099 Tax Forms

1099 forms: Sage is committed to keeping up with regulations to deliver the right solutions at the right time. Coming in version 2023.0, all customers with an active plan will be able to access 1099/1096 tax forms via Aatrix to stay compliant with the newest updates. In case you missed it…

  • Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol: To ensure you are using the most current TLS protocol recommended by third-party standards organizations to provide end-to-end security of your data, you must be on Sage 50 version 2020.2 or later by September 30, 2022. After that date, you will be unable to install and automatically reactivate version 2020.1 and prior versions of Sage 50. Upgrade to the latest version to avoid disruption to your business.
