A lot of people are asking if their version of Act! work on Windows 11 now that Windows 10 is no longer being supported (10/14/2025). The answer is, if you are on Act! version v6- v23 you will need to upgrade your Act! to v24 or higher to use Act! on Windows 11.

What version am I on?

If you do not know the version of Act! you are using, Open the program, Go to the ‘Help‘ menu –> “About Act!“.

For years Act! was written in 32-bit. Windows 11 is 64-bit only. Act! switched from 32-bit to 64-bit compatibility starting with version Act! v24. If you are using any addons with your Act! software it is important to know if the addon was written in 64-bit compatibility. Check with the addon vendor or your Act! Certified Consultant to ensure your addons will work when you upgrade to a 64-bit version of Act!.

Do I need to Upgrade?

For Act! users that are on a subscription and using the Desktop, you are obligated to install any version of Act! that you wish. You will want to install any version higher than v24 for Windows 11 computers. At the time of this article Act! v27 is the latest version released.

If you are on a subscription and using Act! Cloud, you are not required to do anything, as Act! Cloud team will keep your software updated to the latest versions and keep you in compatibility with the latest Microsoft programs.

For Act! users that are not on a subscription, you will need to upgrade your software (unless you are on Pro v24). Upgrades only come as a subscription offering and are no longer able to purchase a one-time version of the software. I recommend checking out a trial of Act!
