💡Sage 50 Accounting US Password Tips
User IDs and passwords are case sensitive. When opening your Peachtree Accounting company, ensure that you enter the user ID and password exactly as they are set up in the user record in Maintain Users. For example, Password, PASSWORD, and password are all different. If you are certain you have the correct user ID and password, but Peachtree is not accepting them, ensure that your CAPS LOCK key is not activated.
If your password in a prior version of Peachtree Software does not fit into the user ID or password field in the new release, type the first nine characters of your password into the fields and click OK.

Password Recovery Process and Procedure
If you happen to lose or forget your user IDs or passwords and are unable to access your Sage 50 software, our Peachtree Accounting Password Recovery Service can help. We will assist you in regaining access to your Peachtree/Sage 50 accounting software, allowing you to retake control of your business.
We understand that your time is valuable. Please note that, for the protection of your data, the Password Recovery Service is a structured process. We must receive all of the requested information before we can begin the recovery procedures.
We will need three things from you to recover your password:
- We will need to know your Sage 50 Build Number and Year to confirm we can perform the service. (In Sage 50, click on the Help tab, then click on “About Sage 50 Accounting”.)
- Your completed “Consent Form” Click Here For Consent Form
- Your CURRENT company backup where we are actually changing the password.
If you feel more comfortable, you may send us your current backup file after we receive your Sage 50 Build Number/Year and the signed consent form.
The backup, download, and password recovery service will only be performed after full payment has been received, the owner’s signed consent is verified and on file, and the owner is informed of the Sage 50 Build and Year. These conditions are mandatory and non-negotiable.
